My name is Dr. Sharon Dobson Waters.  I have many years of experience as an educator as a dyslexia assessor, tutor, and researcher. 

I have:

• Professional Membership of Patoss (the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties). 
• Professional membership of the The British Dyslexia Association. I am a member of the Dyslexia Guild (Dyslexia Action). 
• I sit on the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) which is a representative organisation for professionally qualified diagnostic assessors of specific learning difficulties (SpLD). (SASC, 2024). 
• I hold an up to date Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC Certificate number 0423/134). 
• I engage in regular continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure I am up to date with emerging research and practice in assessment and teaching.
